Don’t Postpone Living Until the Chores Run Out
I caught myself doing it again.
I’ll relax when I finish this.
I’ll go outside after I get that done.
I should take care of this first.
There’s always a should lurking somewhere, isn’t there?

This morning we made a choice.
Not a particularly nutritious choice.
Not a low-carb choice.
Definitely not a choice that would earn us a gold star from the wellness coach.
We chose donuts! 😂 …
Carpe the Damn Diem — Without the Hurry
I’m sitting on the sandy bank at the lake as I write this.
Nothing particularly important is happening.
The water is doing what water does. Birds are carrying on somewhere nearby. The morning is moving along without asking anything of me.
And I've been thinking about two simple words:
USE IT.
Morning Lifeline 🐦⬛
Every morning, before Oklahoma remembers that it's August and turns the temperature up to ridiculous, I go outside.
Coffee in hand.
Miss Focus beside me, just in case.
And — perhaps most importantly — the darn phone stays behind …
Recharge. Reset. Realign.
Sunrise. Water. That moment when everything in you just… settles. This is where I come to remember what actually matters — and why slowing down is the most productive thing you can do.
